Full job description
Job Title: Commercial Cleaner
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (up to 40 hours per week). This is a night shift position, with work generally performed between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am Including weekend. Some flexibility may be required depending on operational needs.
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking reliable and motivated Commercial Cleaners to join our growing cleaning business. This is an entry-level position, and full training will be provided. Previous cleaning experience is welcome but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean commercial premises including offices, schools, childcare centres, retail premises, and other client sites.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors.
- Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
- Clean windows, glass, and other surfaces as required.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and consumables.
- Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Report maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety.
Skills and Attributes
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and honest.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning tasks.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- No previous cleaning experience is required, as full training will be provided.
- Ability to work night shifts between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am.
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence is an advantage but not essential.
